Nicolas Bonnefoy

Dual-qualified and dual-citizen (France and England), Nicolas is an oil and gas lawyer, who has had an exclusive focus on Africa for more than 20 years.

Nicolas was a partner and co-head of Oil & Gas at leading African law firm Bowmans (Johannesburg) and a partner at leading international firm Ashurst (London).

He has an extended experience of oil and gas regimes, contracts and transactions in Africa, and a deep understanding of the oil and gas industry in Africa. 

He is currently a partner at Asafo & Co (UK) LLP in London. Asafo & Co is an African law firm with offices in Morocco, Ivory Coast, Kenya, and South Africa, as well as in Paris, Washington and London.
